Main Spotlight: Connecting, Innovating, and Sustaining a Healthy Main Street Movement
Key takeaways from six sessions at the 2025 Main Street Now Conference.

Earlier this year, Main Street America partnered with OneMain Financial to create Made on Main Street. Through the program, seven (7) community action grants have been awarded to organizations across the country to help revitalize their communities and to complete innovative beautification projects. To kick off each grant, Made on Main Street events were held in all grant-awardee communities.
On October 13, OneMain Financial teamed up with RAILmesa and Main Street America to celebrate the innovative spirit of Mesa, Arizona. RAILmesa was one of seven organizations across the country to receive a $25,000 Made on Main Street community action grant. Heat Sync Labs will benefit from the grant to build an expanded makerspace and co-working place. HeatSync Labs, having outgrown its current location, is moving to a larger building a block away, which will allow the workshop to double in size. As a result, the new makerspace can purchase new equipment, improve the aesthetic, and offer new engaging classes to support creativity and innovation.

OneMain Financial hosted a Made on Main celebration on September 22 in Brunswick, Georgia to celebrate the upcoming beautification project for the town’s commercial center with a free, family-friendly block party. Over 1,000 attendees enjoyed an afternoon of fun at a community block party where guests enjoyed complimentary food, live music, games, crafts and local artisanal vendors.
Main Street Brunswick/Brunswick Downtown Development Authority (DDA) was one of seven organizations across the country to receive a $25,000 community action grant. The awarded funds will be used to enhance the streetscape along the main commercial areas of the town by installing bike racks, trash cans and planters.
